C-K Encourages the City of Milwaukee to 'Be a Force'

August 3, 2009 – Cramer-Krasselt/Milwaukee has partnered with the Milwaukee Police Department in a first for the city to launch a new, fully integrated campaign with the tagline “Be A Force.” A rare example of public/private cooperation to create such a branding effort for local law enforcement, the pro-bono community involvement and recruiting campaign is an invitation to the citizens of Milwaukee to get involved in helping the MPD make the city a safe place to live and do business.

TV, print, out-of-home, radio and online executions focus on the reduced crime in Milwaukee this past year thanks to not only the MPD, but the community at large. As stated in the ads, “In some jobs, success is measured by what doesn’t happen.” The work takes everyday scenes where you might see evidence of a crime – a “missing persons” posting, a funeral notice or a roadside memorial – and turns them into tributes to crimes that did not happen. The work will be rolling out across the Milwaukee area this month via donated media space.
